A Few Words On The Passing of Helen Gurley Brown

Rest in peace Helen Gurley Brown…when she took the reigns, Cosmopolitan was the first fashion magazine to embrace a woman’s sexuality in the height of the revolution.  The 1980′s covers embraced the night.  So many covers today have women outside in day wear but Cosmo under Helen, was about the night.  How to look good at a disco and to get noticed. It was for a woman to take charge of her own sexuality and not wait around for a man to make the first move. Oh, and another footnote: She did this at 50 proving your most profound contribution to the world can begin then!
